A Legacy of Precision Patternmaking Since 1979
M&M Patternmaking (Aust) Pty Ltd is an Australian-owned engineering patternmaking business based in Bankstown, Sydney. Established in 1979, we have built a long reputation for producing accurate, durable patterns and tooling for foundries, manufacturers and designers across Australia.
Our team combines traditional craftsmanship with advanced CNC technology to create precision patterns from timber, tooling board, resins and composite materials. Led by operations manager Peter Morrison, a master patternmaker with over 40 years’ experience, our tradespeople bring more than 200 years of combined knowledge to every project.
From one-off prototypes to large-scale industrial components, we deliver reliable patterns, moulds and machining solutions built to perform — and made to last.

Why Choose M&M Patternmaking
Expertise You Can Trust
Our operation is led by Peter Morrison, a master patternmaker with over 40 years of experience in the foundry and patternmaking industries and former Apprentice of the Year (1982). Our team of engineering patternmakers and tradespeople bring more than 200 years of combined shop-floor experience, mentoring the next generation of tradesmen and continuing a tradition of excellence.
Quality Materials & Modern Processes
Patterns are produced using high-quality, dimensionally stable materials including tooling board, Jelutong timber, epoxy resins and polyurethane. We partner with suppliers to adopt emerging, high-end materials and technologies.
Traditional Craftsmanship Meets Advanced Technology
We construct patterns using both traditional woodworking methods and advanced CNC routers. We are actively exploring the future of patternmaking, including CAD-led production and 3D printing, ensuring we remain at the forefront of industry advancements.
Large-Scale Capability
We build patterns from small components to major industrial forms — including recent projects up to 3 metres x 3 metres.
